The only antidote to the power of organized money is the power of organized people."

UNH Climate Change Candidate Forum!

On October 28th, UUSC Just Democracy sponsored a candidate forum on Climate Change at UNH.

It was a wonderful event - we learned about critical aspects of climate change - the science, the economics, and the values. We engaged in a dialog with representatives of the Obama, Sununu, Shaheen, Shea-Porter, and Bradley campaigns. And we made some connections.

Some images, a complete video (in eleven segments), and the remarks given at the Forum by Rev Roberta Finkelstein can be found through these links.

The Forum was sponsored by UUSC Just Democracy, Oxfam America, CARE International, the United Campus Ministry to UNH, the UNH Discovery Program, and the UNH Office of Sustainability.

Secondly, UUSC Just Democracy's Executive Director, Mark McPeak, was interviewed on Goffstown Community Television by Ivan Beliveau, host of "Right 2 Know." Focused on Climate Change and what's happening in New Hampshire, the complete video can be found here (in six segments).

The complete video, on DVD, useful for discussion and reflection, is available by contacting UUSC Just Democracy.
